Shanghai Inn has long been our neighborhood (Lincoln Square) favorite for well-prepared and very fresh, "traditional" Chinese and Chinese-American food in an old-fashioned red-booth, low-lit setting with friendly, family staff, and ever-filled cups of tea and glasses of ice water. Great to learn now that they also deliver. Although we missed the red booths and the tea kettle, we were very impressed with the speed of the delivery, the always reasonable price, and the temperature and quality of the food!

Amazing General Tso's chicken, I love spicy chicken so when a chinese restaurant actually gets the "spicy" right, it's phenomenal! They live a bit far from me but they're never late, very punctual, longest I've had to wait is 45 minutes, from the time I order to the time the delivery boy rings the bell. 5 stars.

Amazing take out spot! My food came a full 40 minutes quicker than expected. I ordered the shrimp kow, szechwan beef, chicken fried rice and eggrolls. No idea where these dishes rank on the authenticity scale, but everything was flavorful and delicious (also, not greasy at all, which is a huge plus for me).

This is my favorite place now! Such fresh and delicious food...and you really get your money's worth with these guys. I usually get Egg Drop Soup, shrimp fried Rice, Chicken lo mein, and beef broccoli...this is enough to gorge ourselves on for several meals worth. Definitely worth the money.

Their food always seems to come quickly. In our last order they sent us a free order of chicken fried rice. Im assuming its because we order here so often ~ haha. Their food taste great and I love that they have the original old school sweet and sour sauce. All around a great place to eat!

Christmas Eve, hungry for Chinese. We live nearby but never heard much or thought about ordering from Shanghai Inn until we checked the reviews. The best pan fried noodles I've ever had, smoky and delicious. General Tso not hot enough even though we said hot but the orange chicken was great. Next time, we get more adventurous. Really fast delivery too. Best Chinese food of the last two year.
